Growing up in a multi-generational household, I learned the importance of empathy, especially after witnessing my grandmother adapt to life with a disability. This personal experience inspired me to tackle accessibility challenges in my community.
Recently, I conducted a survey of students and special education teachers at my school, identifying issues like malfunctioning accessible doors and inadequate ramps. These experiences have shown me that accessibility isn’t just about solving immediate problems—it’s about creating a world where everyone feels empowered to reach their full potential.
By working together, we can build a future where inclusion is a reality for all.
